InfraCo Asia Development Pte Limited (InfraCo Asia), a company of the Private Infrastructure Development Group, won the Smart Grid Project of the Year – Philippines award at the recently concluded Asian Power Awards 2020. The awards honour outstanding power companies in Asia, recognising groundbreaking projects and initiatives in the region’s power sector. Winners are judged on the basis of uniqueness and innovation, effectiveness and impact, and dynamism.
InfraCo Asia won the award for its Philippines Smart Solar Network project, developed through Infunde Development, as a joint venture with AIEC-ILAW. The Philippines Smart Solar Network project is supported by technical partners Okra Solar, One Renewable Energy and the electric cooperatives BISELCO and LUBELCO.
